After 30 plus years of working with Astrology, my personal take on it is summarised in the following statement which I use to remind myself of the sacredness of each individual’s journey; “We are each the Sacred breath of life given a conscious perspective from a unique vantage point in time and space.”
Astrology is a beautiful interplay between art and science which uses a snapshot of the heavens both above and below, at the moment of your birth, to create a birth chart. The chart which looks like a wheel, is then read based on the planetary placements in signs, houses, the interactions between the planets and the general qualities that are present in the chart.
And you can’t get more unique and individual than an astrological chart, because no two people will share the same birth chart, not even identical twins.
It is important to remember that the chart is not a fixed and fated narrative of a life story, instead with the right attitude and understanding, it becomes a reliable graphical compilation of the building blocks of the personality with their synergistic interplay which define the individual’s needs, which in turn contribute to the drives that power the personality.
When used as a tool to explore our inner workings, astrology really comes into its own and in the hands of a competent astrologer, it is easy to get to the root of things very quickly. Couple the insights that are waiting to be discovered in a chart with the appropriate healing modality or energy work and you fast track you path to breakthroughs.
The typical astrological readings I provide are:
- Personality Profile: This reading focuses on you and can be very helpful in bringing clarity and understanding about your gifts, the challenges you face, your natural inclinations, your deepest needs and ultimately your purpose. The aim of this reading is to respectfully bring to light all aspects of you, to validate them and begin the first steps towards integrating them. From here there is scope to work towards integration and synthesis of these aspects to bring about a greater sense of self and meaning to your life.
- Transits & Progressions: Like all things here on Earth, all processes honour the natural flow of time and similarly, all birth charts blossom in perfect timing. The two methods I use are called Secondary Progressions and Transits. Combining these 2 methods will give me a wealth of information about where you are on your journey and what you are being invited to further step and evolve into.
- Chart Analysis, Progressions and Transits: In this reading I combine the two methods above to deliver a healthy exploration of your identity followed by a discussion of where your challenges are and how to move ahead with them. This is then followed by what trends the next couple of years can be expected to hold.
- Astrological Soul Mission: Whist an astrological reading can be spiritual in itself, two point in the chart especially can bring clarity to the Soul mission within a lifetime. The nodes of the moon are powerful points in the chart, often neglected, used generally to identify the where and when an eclipse will occur. The nodes highlight the place where the soul has come from and to what it is moving towards. A Soul Mission reading focuses on the players in the chart but more importantly, it looks at them under the context of purpose, not just for this life but from the perspective of the Soul journey of becoming, delineated through the nodal axis.
- Astrological Coaching:
Setting a goal and working towards it is made easier if you understand your chart. In these sessions we focus and work in line with a specific goal or intention and through your chart, uncover how best to proceed in alignment and resonance with your own inner drives and attributes.
These sessions can be supplemented with energy work through the AstroQI™ Healing System to support you in the release of energetic blocks which will further facilitate the integration of the information that arises in session.

- AstroCartography/Local Space:
Thinking of relocating or going on holiday or starting a business in a new area? Whilst the birth chart is a map of the individual personality, it is far better to see it as a lens of perception through which the individual engages with his/her world. With this in mind, the map can be expanded in a manner such that, at the moment of birth, each one of us will also have distinct planetary lines of influence traversing the whole world and stamped in place. These same lines can provide indicators to the nature of the energetic connections (and bias) we will have to the places (and the people) it connects us to.
With this in mind, whilst we can gravitate to places on the globe where our Venus line passes to look for love and cooperation or Jupiter to study, expand and grow or Sun to find our brilliance and spirit, these same lines will also carry any distortions or strengths that we naturally carry with these planets in our charts.
Additionally, this branch of Astrology can also help bring to awareness and offer explanation to the deeper reasons why we may feel familiar with a location or why there is a feeling of being drawn to or repelled by it.
In Local Space Astrology, we transpose the natal chart onto the horizontal plane and use it to indicate the directions through which we are able to place (or remove) emphasis to influence the energy of the space. A kind of Astrological Feng Shui, by doing so we are able to identify the directions of influence towards a particular goal and implement appropriate action to support that goal.
